Teide rarely appears alone. The route around the volcano frames its summit with Canary Island pines, places dry slopes against a sea of cloud, and looks outward across the caldera before returning to the mountain’s dark, symmetrical mass. These photographs use distance and foreground to show how the peak governs the wider landscape, even when it occupies only a small part of the frame.

This walk around Lubogoszcz moves through several kinds of woodland. Tall conifers give way to bright birch, dense beech slopes, and a marked ridge above the Kashubian landscape. Sunlight arrives in narrow shafts, catching fresh leaves and the curves of the path before the route opens onto a dry meadow. The photographs follow the rhythm of enclosure, elevation, and release.

Autumn in Sobieszewo

Sobieszewo Island compresses several landscapes into a single walk. Moonlight filters through branches at Górki, mushrooms and a slowworm occupy the forest floor, and warm sun reaches between the pines at Świbno. The path eventually opens onto an almost empty beach before dusk carries the eye back across the water to the distant cranes of Gdańsk port.

Summer in Madeira

Madeira’s scale changes quickly: a headland crowded at sunset gives way to black sand beneath mountain walls, then to sheer cliffs and isolated sea stacks. At São Lourenço the island feels dry and exposed; in Fanal, old laurel trees disappear into green shade and mist. The sequence follows those contrasts, with the Atlantic acting as the constant edge.
